From the Twin Cities:
Take Interstate 94 east to Highway 61 south (exits just past downtown St. Paul). Follow 61 south through Hastings and Miesville into Red Wing.

Once in Red Wing:
Just as you are coming into downtown, turn right on West Avenue (a one-way going up the hill). West Ave takes you past the post office and many of Red Wing's historic churches.  Turn right on Fourth Street.  Go nine blocks and turn left on Washington Street (just past Fairview Red Wing Professional and Community Center).  Go two blocks and turn left on Sixth Street.  Follow Sixth Street up the hill and past the Red Wing Golf Club.  The road curves to the left and turns into Williams Ave.   The History Center is straight ahead, a large red brick building.  During parts of the construction,  Williams Ave. may be closed.  To access the History Center, use the alley on Sixth Street.  Before the house on the corner of Sixth Street and Williams Ave. on the left side, there is a narrow gravel alley.  The alley leads to the parking lot.

From Rochester:
Take U.S. Highway 52 north to Zumbrota. At Zumbrota, take Highway 58 north to Red Wing.  After approximately a 1/2 mile, Highway 58 becomes Bush Street.  Bush Street will turn into Plum Street.  Turn left on Fourth Street and go twelve blocks.  Turn left on Washington Street (just past Fairview Red Wing Professional and Community Center).  Go two blocks and turn left on Sixth Street.  Follow Sixth Street up the hill, past the Red Wing Golf Club.  The road curves to the left and turns into Williams Ave.   The History Center is straight ahead, a large red brick building.   During parts of the construction,  Williams Ave. may be closed.  To access the History Center, use the alley on Sixth Street.  Before the house on the corner of Sixth Street and Williams Ave. on the left side, there is a narrow gravel alley.  The alley leads to the parking lot.
